Happy Halloween! It is time to learn how to carve a pumpkin!

Happy Halloween! On October 31st, children dress up in costumes and go around their neighbourhoods chanting ”trick or treat!” and collecting candy from their neighbours. The holiday has it´s roots in ancient celtic harvest festivals as well as Christian beliefs. In the U.S traditions include attending Halloween costume parties, lighting bonfires, apple-bobbing, playing pranks, visiting haunted houses, telling scary stories, and watching horror films. It is also traditional to crave a pumpkin, called ”jack – o – lantern”.

Here´s a fun video of Linguajoy English Club teacher Lauren carving a pumpkin for our language school’s Halloween lessons in Finland. Hope you like it! Link to Linguajoy Channel in Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IVCmNfDHWc
